Great course. A litle slow play due to the difficulty. Would definitely play again

Loved the layout here, even more than Grayhawk and the Boulders. Two big complaints, though. One, every ridgeline is overcrowded with McMansions. Just ruins the scenery. Second, when my hotel made reservations, the course never mentioned that they were getting ready for overseeding. I got there and was told, and some of the course was torn up (especially annoying when the starter said they usually have the best conditions in the area). Not sure if that affected the greens as well, but they weren't nearly as smooth or true as the other courses I played that week. Would come back for the value and layout, but course is definitely a step below the other top courses in Scottsdale.

Nice, challenging desert course. A little out of the the way from Scottsdale, but worth the drive. The front nine is definitely more scenic, but the back nine is little more playable, I think. The greens were tough, but fair and the fairways in great shape. I had played Grayhawk the day before and loved it, but this course was actually in better shape. It's not the course to play if you are a grip it and rip it player. You need to hit strategic shots off the tee in order to score. Dog legs, uphill and a few blind shots make it very challenging.
