This is one of my favorites to play, challenging, scenic, very well maintained, and reasonable priced( in the spring). greens and fairways were in fine shape. greens held approach shots. missing some ball washers.staff is courteous and competent in dispatching groups. number 16 is one of the hardest par 5''s around( for me with an 8 hdcp), with a plateau reachable with a driver, and a ravine with trees on the right. after many rounds of playing cautiously with a 5 wood, and landing on the top ridge on a downhill position, or flat but in front of the trees on the right, I hammered the driver, caught the top of a tree, but landed on the slight upslope of the far-side hill. second shot(a blind one) with a three-wood placed me just off the green beside a bunker. the pin was in the back, so I parred the hole, which was infrequent for me on this hole. On no. 18, use a 3 wood, unless you hit with a controllable draw, or can crunch it straight, as the fairway slopes to the pond on the right side. no. 8 a very long, especially if into a prevailing wind par 3(180 to 200), over a ravine.sprinklers are marked, rough is light. There was a potential agreement to sell it to a housing developer, but that dissolved. Thank goodness. Players travel over an hour to play here. topnotch facility.

I have read the other reviews and they must have caught these people on a bad day or the people playing must have had the bad tudes because iam handicapped and play slow and we never had a problem as a matter of fact the starter gave my cart a handicapped flag and said take our time. Also i would like to say this is a must play for all golfers from 1 handicaped and above and ihave played bayhills, sawgrass, oakhills, and many others all over the u.s. this is a must play for all and we played 08-09-09 and we a setting up another outting.

This is a very high value course for the money. Very nice scenery from one hole to the next, with enough difficulty and creativity to keep you stimulated throughout the round. The course itself is maintained fairly well for a public course and the greens were in very good shape when I played there last month. Now, I signed up to golflinks just to say this (and I hate signing up for things, so this says something): they need to do something about the starter and more so, the ranger. Half way into the round, the ranger came to us saying we have to hurry up and we''re way behind. We had been playing for little over 2 hours at the completion of the 9th hole; how is this slow!?!?! The guy actually sat in his cart and watched the four of us tee off as if we had been f''ing around the whole time. The group behind us must''ve called and complained, but shouldn''t this guy check the facts before accusing people? This is a shame, great course, but horrible people. The ranger was the cream of the crop, but the rest of the staff just seemed like they didn''t really like working there.
