I played this course in 2014 and my granddaughter was driving the cart. It was summer after her graduation from High School. We are from Texas and it was first time for both of us to be in Hawaii. The course is immaculately kept, the clubhouse is 1st class and the staff is amazing. Friendly and courteous. I don't play a lot of courses where they welcome women without a raised eyebrow, so the staff reception was refreshing. This course will give you all you would expect in a good golf game and more. 11th in my 50 State Golfing Quest
A Great Golf Experience! My girlfriend & I played Kahili on 11/6/10. Loved it. Set on the slopes of the West Maui Mountains, it sports dynamite views of the Pacific, Haleakala, and the sugar cane fields below. The course is beautifully landscaped, and offers a varied & enjoyable layout. Wide fairways, narrow fairways, uphill holes, downhill holes, doglegs, challenging greens. Kahili is well maintained for the most part, and all the staff members we came in contact with were smiley and friendly. When you consider how high greens fees can be in Hawaii, 75 bucks for our round was a pretty darn good deal. Thumbs Up!
Windy boring course
Pace of play was horrible. Nearly 3 hrs to play 9 holes. Rangers did nothing to improve pace of play. Tee times are 8 minutes apart, a little too tight. Fairways were wide. Course played somewhat easy for the most part. No cart service. $95 green fee seemed high for what you get. But cheap for Maui.
