I enjoyed playing at Glenbrook today. I work very close to the course, but wasn't aware it was there. The layout and topography reminded me of the Gus Wortham course, but Glenbrook is in better shape. The layout is challenging and I loved the elevation changes. The greens looked quite nice, especially for a municipal course. The fairways were also in very good condition. Everything was well manicured, and the facility very clean. I did not see any trash lying around on the ground. It’s unfortunate there is no driving range. The first golf cart I loaded my stuff in had a flat tire, and the second one just seemed to run rough. Parts of the cart paths could use some repaving, but were not uncommonly bad. I did not see any place to use the bathroom besides the clubhouse at the turn. I may not have noticed though. Overall, I had a good experience and would recommend it to friends. The main pieces, to me, were right; friendly staff, good course conditions, and a fun layout

This course has interesting and undulated layout. Very fun to play with. Most holes are risk reward holes and accuracy off the tee is a premium, and well executed approach will pay dividends. If maintenance is done better, this could be a five star course, bald patches on the fairways, unkempt tee box, and golf cart paths detract from the pleasure. Some holes are quirky, especially hole no 9 par 5, as there is a wide river about 180 yard forced carry, just in front of the green. So even if you bomb it down 300 the fairway on the tee shot, you still HAVE to lay up, as you still have around 250 to get on the green with 180 of that carry. So the sensible play would be a 7 iron of the tee, a 9 to lay up to the edge of water, and then a 3 iron or hybrid to the green. Talk about silly design. This river comes into play 3 or 4 times. Not recommended for beginners due to the force carry.

Best course for the money! Well maintained fairways, greens, and bunkers. The staff was very nice and accommodating to our group of 6.

The course has a very fun and challenging layout. You play over the river on 6 holes which may be an issue for those who struggle to carry off the tee box. The fairways were in really good shape and the greens were in excellent shape. The best part of the course was the greens. The greens rolled true and the pin placement made for some challenging putts. The greens are not flat and make for some really fun putting.

Overall we were very pleased with the staff, management, and the conditions of the course. Fun, challenging, and well priced gem in South Houston. We all plan on going back to play this great course again. I recommend trying their homemade burgers at the turn, they are awesome.

Definitely an interesting course. The layout has potential to be an exciting course but the course maintenance is minimal to non-existent. The bunkers are mostly clay, overhung branches everywhere, rough greens and trash all over the place. Some of the holes shoot over the river which is quite long. To be fair there were some holes that were quite fun to play just because of the layout. Honestly I wouldn't play here again. Overpriced for how poorly maintained it is.

Dumbass onry old man booked 30 tee times together. When we got to the tee box there was a huge line of carts. It looked like a train station. Then we went to get our money back and they did not give us anything but a rain check. Bad business but the course is fairly decent. I was suprised.

I had to edit my comments. They are improving the course-adding sod, making the holes longer and more challenging. New markers and new amenities, however, there were no water coolers again, no one at the concession stand. Still a big bummer-Stay thirsty my friends.

I liked this course for the money. The course was in pretty decent shape (Especially the greens). Some quirky holes but they still provided a challenge. Looks like they are trying to improve the ammenities. As I said it is a good value.

Nice enough course. Not a walker as one has to cross the bayou on long bridges several times. #9 is a dreadful par 5. #18 was an easy par 5 but is now longer. Couple of quirky holes. Value-rated.

Muni in "middlin" shape on the SE side. Not a hard walk. Better track than Hermann. Decent bang for the buck.

All greens are well keep, like the course. The flow of play was good.
