Superb course.

My group thoroughly enjoyed this course. The greens were in excellent shape. Beautiful condition from start to finish. Certainly a challenge for any golfer, but alot of fun

Played here on July 8th while on vacation at oak island. I look forward to coming back. From the moment I walked into the clubhouse I was treated as though I was a welcomed guest. The staff was friendly, everyone from the front desk to the snack bar to the cart attendant to the grounds crew. The whole experience was awesome. The course is tight and will challenge you to use every club in your bag and make decisions on almost every shot but will not make you miserable as a high handicapper. The yardages are clearly marked in the fairways and on the tee box, even giving you distances to water hazards.
I plan to tell everyone about this course and look forward to playing again.

I have played this course a couple of times and I have a problem with "pace of play". It may just be me but everytime I have played this course it has taken almost 5 hrs. as a single player. Also the pro shop tells me the course is "wide open" when it is clearly not. The course is beautiful but the pro shop should not mislead someone just so they can get play. They should also have a ranger that monitors the pace of play.

Recommended to my friends to do again the next time we visit the Strand.

Played quite a few of the courses in Brunswick County...Lockwood Folly was by far the best.

Beautiful course. Highly recommend playing here if you are anywhere in the Wilmington or Myrtle Beach area.

Nice, challenging course.

Excellent course

I was pretty surprised at how great this course was. Being off the beaten path, none of us expected very much.
But the fairways and greens were in excellent condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the views along the ponds and the intercoastal were amazing.

Best course we played in a long time. Course was perfectly maintained. Greens were in excellent shape.
Narrow fairways, which made some holes a challenge, but still quite enjoyable.
Some of the views were quite spectacular also.
One of our best golf rounds during our trip.
Would recommend booking a tee time here for sure.
