Outstanding topography and a top notch layout are the course's best attributes. So-so conditioning (particularly of the greens)reduces the quality of this experience. This course could become one of the state's gems with better conditioning and a little renovation work.

Absolutely one of the best county park's systems courses you will find in Wisconsin. It's a beautiful course (the views of the lake are amazing, and it's one of my favorite places to play in the fall), and doesn't play too difficult for your mid to high handicapper, but does have some nice challenges and nice elevation changes. One of the best courses for the value that you will find. It's maintained very well and the greens are usually in good shape (I find them to usually run fairly quick, and with quite a bit of sloping on a majority, can be pretty challenging, especially with tough pin placements. The only negative I ever have with it is that it is always busy, no matter when you go, and pace of play is one of the slower in the Lake Country area. You just have to have an open schedule that day to play 18, as it often takes a good 5 hours or more.

I enjoy this course every time I play it. There are times when the grounds crew is all over the place. But it's a county park and one of the best in the state.
