This is a great course to play if you can get on it. Its short (just a little over 6000 yards) but very difficult and the staff is always friendly. The course is also one of the best maintained in the city and has great views of water. The course is no doubt the most difficult in the area, with lots and lots of hazards and dangerously close white stakes lining the course (Out of Bounds). If you can get it in the fairway you should be okay until you reach the green, the greens are very fast and very difficult to judge correctly. This course is home of Virginia's most difficult opening hole: a 420 yard par 4 with a tight fairway and a peninsula green with a severe false front lying in the front. On a scale of one to ten I would have to rate this place a 10 and in the area it would be the number 2 course, just behind the infamous Bayville GC. Definitely THE must play in an area of fading golf courses!
