Alot must have changed since the person that wrote before me has played this course. The Eldorado course is being renovated right now and won't be open until this time next year however the laquinta course is open and ready for play. There is definately some work being done in certain areas but not to where it affects your game. Considering it was $35.99 including a cart I think they are asking a more than fair price for this challenging course. I would rather play here than greatwood without even looking at the price and greatwood is close to $60. They seem to be coming along way since the city has taken it over and they are moving pretty quickly it seems to me in rebuilding it's luster.

Sand traps do not have sand that is hitable. The greens were all sand at this time of year -- no possible way to read any putt. The course is in need of money being spent to bring it up to an enjoyable standard. Since it was a comp round, I guess free was OK. However, as a country club and paying members, I would not be a member at any price until it is corrected. The green on the 16th hole is a postage stamp, flat with no character. The hole was a par 5, but some one built 3 townhouses on part of the hole and they reduced it to a par 4. The 18th hole has been changed from par 4 to par 3 since the bridge to get to the tee boxes is in serious need of repair. They simply put the tee boxes across the creek in the previous fairway -- what a crappy way to finish the round.
