Skylinks At Long Beach Golf Course

Hey this course is overpriced and pretty easy but why does golf always have to be really hard? It plays fast and its in much better shape than it used to be.... played today and had a great time.... only took 3 and a half hrs.... $28 twilight

This course was rebuilt 3 to 4 years ago and while it has always been flat and boring the new greens and added bunkers made it fun to play for a course 1 mile from my house. Now the greens are in very poor condition and it is clear that the crew does not care about the golfers, regulary mowing greens and cutting fairways while you are trying to take your shot. The range ball price keeps increasing and most importantly the course while more expensive than the 3 others in the area; El Dorado, Lakewood CC and Big Rec all these are in far BETTER shape than Skylinks and as I said cheaper. I don't understand how the shortest, flattest and worst keept American Golf course is the most expensive in Long Beach. With that being said I like to play it because it at least plays fast (quite empty these days as its reputation has grown). I played 9 this morning in 85 minutes and made it to my office on time by 9:00. Nice friendly people in the proshop, Daniel is OK.

Played at this course twice during July08/Sept08. Both times were horrible. the maintenace crew didnt care if golfers were playing. they would mow the grass..and since the grass was dry.. it would fly all over the place. I WOULD NEVER PLAY AT THIS COURSE AGAIN!!!!
