I played this course as a kid and I still play here regularly. Its not as lush or well maintained as most of the other courses in the area, but its about half the price and I really enjoy the layout. It has some challenging holes (#8 esp.), and it just has more character than the other courses. Lots of shade. Old trees, covered in Spanish moss (the one in the middle of the 9th fairway is very unique). Some fairways run uphill or down too adding interest. I find the greens are decent-to-good 90% of the time, but they are often under repair or sometimes just weedy. Fairways are good, but the "rough" is mostly hard dirt/leaves until you reach someones back yard. But that actually helps the "bad golfer's" length so I don't complain. Overall, an extremely good value and not too crowded, mostly just locals play here. Their service has improved recently, I noticed very regular drink cart rounds the last few times I played.

Course is convenient and that is mostly why we play here. The condition of the course is going down hill though. The rough isn't rough at all, just dirt and roots. The greens are hit and miss, number eight is always in bad shape. The fairways are real hard which is great for drive length but then you pay the price trying to hit off them with your next shot. Price isn't as good as it used to be. World of Houston is actually the same or cheaper and in better shape so we have started going there more often. Staff is usually friendly.

This is a great course to play, same company owns this course and World Houston, so you know you're going to get treated right. Lots of tall pines to get in your way so you better hit it straight or it will be a long day. Great course, great condition, well worth the bucks.

Played only the first 9 holes (took over 2 hours on a Friday!). While the fairways were mainly hard, dry dirt, the greens were actually in good shape. Regular cart service and friendly staff. Maintenance appears to be lacking all over, except the greens.

I agree with the previous review

There are lots of hazards, mature trees in the middle of the fairway, sand, water, creeks. The green should be maintained regulary. For the price, its great.

Winter maintenance was seriously lacking. Fairway drives were equivalent to drives in the rough because the grass had not been mowed in so long. Greens had a lot missing grass randomly throughout.

Great challenges, greens need a little more attention though. But nice terrain, hills, trees, doglegs!! Will go back again. The bad greens give me something to blame my sorry putting on. LOL

Staff was a bunch of inattentive high school kids. Maintance of course was horrible. Expect no etiquette from other players. Other than that a good rate if you have lose change laying around.

Good 18 holes for little money. Not the country club but a good fun track to play. Good food at the turn and cold beer. They have great rates during the week and not bad on weekends.

Golf course maintenance very disappointing. The greens were mostly just dirt and had bumps all of over them. Only a couple holes actually had nice greens.

Kingwood Cove

This is a great course for the price. It has some tough holes on it. It lacks a little on maintenance but still great for the money.

Shameful maintenance mostly, greens were beat up and shabby.

Greens are horrible. No scenery. Short course.
