My cousin Bob and I played Asheboro muni. on the afternoon of 02/22/11. We were staying in the area and playing at Tot Hill Farm the next day, so this seemed like a good "warm up" course. It was a very cold afternoon (low 40's and with wind). We paid $18 to ride 9 holes. The course was in "ok" shape for the time of year. The greens are small and full of quirky breaks- ala Donald Ross. Some of the holes are cramped in, with tee boxes in dangerous proximity to greens. The fact that the whole course is encircled by the city never escapes you either. Not likely a re-play for us if we find ourselves in the area again....
Great municipal course, fun to play and a good value at $10 to walk 9. Course is maintiained much better than many higher priced private courses.
