Fun course with well designed holes. First time I played it s few years ago I remembered all the holes . Greens have a great variety. One of the best design courses in the state. I wish I lived closer I would play it all the time.
My rating is 4 stars (the site is screwing up when submitting the rating). One of the best courses in the Hudson Valley Region. Beautiful course, always in great shape; and quite challenging. Gonna be pricier than many other courses in the area, but you're paying a premium so it's not crowded and you can enjoy your round. Staff is pleasant, and the food at the clubhouse is very good. One of my "go-to" courses. I highly recommend it for good golfers that want a challenge.
One of the finest golf courses in the Hudson Valley - public or private. A Links style course that looks and plays differently than other area courses. It is consistently in excellent condition and typically plays fast and firm. The greens are some of the best in the area. Less than 90 minutes from NYC and a short ride for CT residents. Anyone I have brought here for the first time has been delighted by the quality of the course and are always anxious to go back. Well worth a trip to play if you haven't yet. Practice facilities are excellent as is the Pub. Pro Shop and Pub staff are first rate.
In my opinion if you are looking for a wannabe "Links styled"(loosely used) course that is unjustifiably high priced, run by a bunch of pretentious snobs, then this is the place to go.There are so many great courses in the region run by much nicer and knowledgeable people, I will never understand why would anyone return to this course.I for one, would never play on this course again.
