I have to tell you that I simply enjoy this course. It's a good go for the money and can test your game. Siver Rock has been home to the Bob Hope and should be a must play in the Desert. The course is sweet, it's maintained Very...Very Well. Staff is friendly and ready. It's a players course and will test your skills. We shot two rounds during our 2012 Thanksgiving stay and look forward to returning in January.
I played the course in February and it was immaculate. The staff was great and the pace of play was very good. I am out of town but have played 10 or more of the must play courses and this is the most enjoyable. Wow what a municipal course.
Played 6 courses with my boys on a recent trip (also played course once since) and here was our consensus on the courses: 1. Firecliff, 2. Silver Rock3. PGA West Stadium (overpriced) 4. Indian Wells Celebrity (the back nine was great) 5. Eagle Falls and 6. The Other Desert Willow Course.SilverRock was a close second, and I mean very close second to the Firecliff course. This course was well manicured, had many interesting holes and very senic. If we go back, this will be one of the two courses we definitely repeat.
Really a great course Loved it and scored pretty well despite the very high heat. If I lived closer would play it again and again. Staff was friendly and helpful. Wish it were in Los Angeles area.
Played the blues at Silver Rock April 25 2010. Course in immaculate condition. Very tough. Won't record my round as I was having one of those days, and if you have one of those days at Silver Rock, God help you. Would love to go back and break 100!
