History
Settlers logged cypress trees down the creek to make shingles for the roofs of their homes in the early 1800s; thus, the waterway earned the name "Shingle Creek." Shingle Creek Golf Club opened for play in December 2003, and the hotel complex opened in September 2006.

Golf Course
The David Harman-designed 18-hole, par-72 golf course plays 7,228 yards from the tips. It features undulating fairways and interconnecting waterways bordered by dense oaks and pines along historic Shingle Creek.
Additional Amenities
The resort has a full-service, 13,000-square-foot spa with nine treatment rooms and fitness center. Guest can choose from 12 dining and lounge options. There are four outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts and nature trails.
Acknowledgement
The resort received the 2008/2009 AAA four-diamond designation, and two of the restaurants also received four diamonds for 2009.
Nearby Attractions
The Orange County Convention Center is within one mile of the hotel. The resort is 10 minutes from the Orlando International Airport; it's only 15 minutes from Disney World.
