The Most Successful Year
Tom Lehman dominated the PGA Tour in 1996. He was named PGA Player of the Year, PGA Tour Player of the Year, won the Vardon Trophy (awarded to the tour's leader in scoring average) and topped the money list.
Major Championships
Lehman has won one major championship, the British Open, in 1996. He scored a two-stroke victory over Ernie Els and Mark McCumber. The Open is one of four major championships.
Championship Tour
On April 26, 2009, Lehman and Bernhard Langer (Germany) won the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf. The tandem defeated Jeff Sluman and Craig Stadler in a playoff. The Lehman-Langer combination was the first duo from different countries to win the Legends.

As of August 2009, Tom Lehman's scoring average throughout his PGA Tour career was 71.14.
National Team Appearances
Lehman has made 10 appearances on U.S. teams. He was a member of the Ryder Cup on 1995, 1997, 1999, and 2005; the Presidents Cup on 1994, 1996 and 2000 (all winning efforts); the World Cup in 1996; and the Alfred Dunhill Cup in 1999 and 2000.
