Passport services are not available at every post office. Be sure to check the official website to see if your local post office offers these services.
Appointment
Call ahead if you are going to the post office to apply because you may need to make an appointment.
Application
To make the process quicker, print off a copy of the application online and have it filled out before going to the post office. Copies are available there as well as at libraries.
Photos
You must bring two passport size photos with you to obtain your passport. If you do not have photos, they can be taken at the post office for an extra fee.
Documents
To apply for your passport have a completed application, identification (drivers license or ID card), proof of citizenship and the appropriate fee.
