Forced to take a break

While at work last week, I tripped and fell onto a concrete step.  I was in pain for 2 days (still working) then thought nothing more of it.  Then the pain came back even worse than before.  It appears I have pulled Tendons in my foot and will not be able to play for about 3 - 4 weeks. Just when I feel I am progressing with my game, another set-back comes along.  The only consolation I can take from this is the joy of getting under the wifes feet while I am off work. (I know not to look there for sympathy)

Thistle,
Best of luck recovering... Hope you are back on the course soon. Just keep in my mind all the things you were doing right... before your injury and it will be like you never left.

Hang in Thistle. Maybe you can focus on the mental side of the game while you're recup'ing? Or do an instant mental re-play of all the shots this summer you'd like to do over? Hey, what about practicing those rare shots you never get a chance to do? You know- like the ones from the knees in the rough? At least there's an excuse for painkiller- Talisker comes to mind. Take it easy- this too shall pass.

Yikes - that's awful! But the good news is... if I calculated right, you're 2 weeks away from recovery! You'll be out there swingin' away in no time.

Sorry to hear about your injury Thistle. It's frustrating when an injury prevents you from doing something you love, such as playing golf! Keep us posted on your recovery.
