Preparing for the company tournament

Each year, my company has a 4-man scramble tournament. Last year was my first time to participate, and it was also my first tournament to enter and win! So this year, I'm coming back as the defending champion, trying for a repeat. My team is a little bit different this year, so I hope that we have the skill sets to pull it off.

I've been practicing very regularly to try and prepare. I've nearly eliminated three-putts, and my chips are coming in a lot tighter than before. I'm still working on my driving distance/accuracy, and I will update my blog with my progress.

That's pretty impressive to win the first tournament you've ever entered.

So, besides bragging rights, was there a prize involved? I'm just curious because I'm helping to organize a community tournament that's being put on by the home owner's association. We're having the hardest time coming up with ideas (and sponsors/donations) for prizes.

The prize for the winning team was $400 (split between each golfer). In previous years--before I entered the tournament--prizes included such items as staff bags, chipping nets, putters, etc. I don't think that it matters so much what the prize is as long as it is somewhat nice, and recognizes the winners.
