It all happened one thursday evening while getting some parmesan baked cod at my fave restaurant the Lewiston Lodge...

Some long time friends, Shelly & Clinton, happened to be there and we started gabbing about old times and new times over some ice cold mugs of beer. Now, little did I know that within an hour of being at the Lodge I would be on a Couples golf league and golfing every week with the most amazing man too!! Of course this story has to include a Man because I wouldnt be golfing now if it werent for him!

He came in for dinner also and was introduced to me by Clinton, 'this is Russ'. Barely even knowing me, he askes if I golf and would I join a league with him! I absolutely thought ' Yes! I cant say NO to those blue eyes!'. I even warned him that I have never golfed before in my life. Russ told us about the league and Shelly and Clinton joined the league too! Shelly never golfed either, which I needed a fellow Diva to grow and learn with in this league. Turns out, Shelly and I LOVED the game and have been craving it ever since!

Now, Russ took me to the driving range at Garland to see if I have any clue of what to do with a driver and a ball. With his coaching and patience, I was driving the ball pretty good and straight. By the next week, he had bought me Top Flight clubs, balls, tee's, glove etc. I was ready for the league now, or so I thought. This game is a work in progress and Im completely addicted to every aspect of it. Russ is like having my own personel Golf pro at my side and I dont think I could ever thank him enough for introducing this sport to me.

We have been having fun golfing for almost a month now and our game is getting better and better everytime. Russ and I are a great team! So cheers to having the feeling of 'Now or Never' on that amazing thursday night in June!
