Tiger Threatens to Break Photographers Neck
Posted: Mar 31, 2008 | 8:32 PM PST

Tiger once again angered many uptight golfers with his recent comment at the WGC CA Championship after saying ''The next time a photographer shoots a [bad word!] picture, I'm going to break his [another bad word] neck.''  This was after yet another photographer snapped a shot in the middle of his swing.

I say, good on ya Tiger, it's about time you bought some to those parasites who have no respect for you and the game!  They sign a waiver before the tournament stating they will not do that kind of thing and if they can't adhere to the policies, they should bugger off and take photos at junior golf tournaments.

I'd get Stevie on the job next time.

I completely agree. To take THE world-class player, after investing his entire life and recent hours of training, maintaining his composure and concentration down to the last strokes against a talented field -- only to then stop him with a paperrazzi shutter click? Break the neck I say, and the camera, too. Granted that there are so many photog's gathered around the galleries, still I'm sure that only the professionals with established press passes are able to get so close, so there must be a way to note the offender(s) and see that they're banned from future events.

But, who's "Stevie"?

Stevie is Tiger's caddy.

I was watching the tournament when the incident happened and, from the look on Tiger's face, I was surprised that the photographer didn't go home with Tiger's club sticking out from between his hip pockets.

In another tournament earlier, someone in the crowd yelled something at one of the players as he started to strike a critical putt (which he missed). The player pointed at the guy and made a motion like a baseball umpire calling a runner out, and the officials escorted the fan off the course.

Hopefully, we will see more of that in the future and fewer photographers.
