The tendency for a lot of golfers is to peek at the hole on short putts. It is very important to pick a line, commit to it, and listen the ball into the hole. If you keep your head steady you should be able to see the hole and the spot you're putting to in your peripheral vision. This is also true for longer shots. If you pick a spot close to your ball, keep your eye on the ball, and swing to that spot, you will inevitably hit more accurate shots.
