Par 4 398yds
4 guys with all the newest golf stuff,
so 4 shots go off the tee, all in the fairway, OK.
each person has shots of 150,135,120,110 to the pin.
the thing now is to all get on the green, then 2 putt.
whether your the guy out 150 or in close, they still all
have to convert and putt out to make par.
so for most golfers they should be able to do that, Right...
it all comes down to getting those shots on and in.
but, guys will miss the greens, chunk the ball and 3/4 putt.
and post up a 90+ and say I think I need a new driver...lol
technology got a little better, but what never changed and
failed was the golfers... his mechanics, commitment and the
ability to hit the ball consistently and make putts.
we are a society of gimmicks, deals, and quick fixes.
just look at any golf mag from 10yrs ago till now and
it's hit the ball straighter, cut 5 strokes now, buy this.
golf didn't change and neither did you, that's what happened.
golf is not an easy game, and there is nothing you can buy
to make yourself score better, but yourself.....
you dictate how well you will play this game with your thoughts,
commitments and approach to its every facet. there are no easy
ways to get better except how the pros did it... WORK...
technology got a little better, it was us who failed to catch up.

it starts with these people.....

STARTERS, THE MARSHALS, COURSE PRO, COURSE OWNER.
that's to say its the people who run the course that book
the tee times, who send you out there and who drive by you
in that little cart that say,......MARSHALL......

any one of them needs to stand up and start doing there job,
and telling them the rules, bottom line, THATS THERE JOB.
the person it has to start with too, is the management... cause
if there not going to back the STAFF, then its over.
then there's the course marshals who are to afraid to do
get out and tell someone there slow or what is right...
"but they paid there money".... so what,
I don't care if they bought the course, someone tell them
about the rules of golf and tell them what there doing wrong
and how to speed up there play. 22 shots to the pin or 10+mins
to find a ball OB, and searching for it is ridiculous.
and if you offended them, so be it, give there money back and
tell them to come back when they learn how to play better..
this isn't directed at people trying and playing the game with a
90 or even a 120 on there card, there still in the game,
but the ones that have no clue, like hitting 2 balls, or causing
damage to the course or not repairing it or holding up people
to likes of  2 or more holes sometimes, sound familiar....
those people need to practice there skills a bit more
before jumping into an 8:00am tee time on sat morn...
weekdays, par 3's or the driving ranges is where they to play,
till they at least get a little better and can play the game......

just cause you show up at a NASCAR RACE with a car,
doesn't mean there going to let you race it...

"maybe there needs to be a new rule in golf "
if your double par or more, pick up and continue to the next hole....

because hitting 12 shots on a par 4 isn't going to help you play any better.
or make your score any less than not good,  so pick up and go on....
