at one time i was a plus one handicap but since i don't get to play as much now i am probably a 4 or 5. love to play new courses. if i could only play one course for the rest of my life it would undoubtably be SPYGLASS HILL, which is without a doubt the best test of golf i ever experienced. i have played at least 55 of the best courses in america (per GOLF DIGEST). none compare to Spyglass. i have played the country club in brookline mass, pebble beach,pga west in palm springs area, as well as tpc courses in florida,nevada,connecticut,arizona and all throughout the u.s. i have played on 5 islands in hawaii and 4 different courses in japan played in mexico and canada and hope some day to make the pilgrimage to st. andrews and the rest of the british open sites. i have played as an amateur in numerous professional tournaments and was a finalist in the 1975 national long drive championship. i am somewhat self-taught but the best lessons i ever received were from mr.OLIN DUTRA who won both the US OPEN and THE PGA 1934 and 1936 if my memory serves me right. i wish the pros had to play with the equipment that we played with in the mid 60's when you had to hit it dead solid perfect on every swing. the new technology makes it so much easier than 40 years ago
