Driving RangeWell, almost a broken back, broken ribs near my spine. It happened on the golf course (Riverside) the 1st and last time I went. Dr's say the calcium building up around where the fracture is located is piching nerves and causing my back pain. Almost 2 months later I finally made it back out to a course again.
Played at Hyatt Hill Country only this time I played my first nine at 'Creeks' and my back nine at 'Oaks'... I may have to look at my scorecard to see if I don't have those backwards.
Anyway, I shot terribly, but now I have more to work on out here.
The building is coming along, I think I'll post some pics at YardsGolf.com, but I'm feeling kinds lazy today. They are pouring the sidewalks and the back deck near the lake. I should be ordering kitchen equipment early next week and hopefully testing all the steaks and everything within a month!
We'll see. I'll post a menu on here or on TheDriveBarandGrill.com if they kick it off of this site.
Maybe we'll make some money in our start up and I can afford to post some ads ;)
We'll see,
-Les

DrivingThis post has been edited by an administratorWell the Juniors' Clinic is ongoing right now and I really wish it would pick up a little more than it has. Ross Henry is our onsite pro and he does a great job with the kids. Not to mention the custom fitting that he has helped a large number of golfers with when they need clubs that really work.
I've been working on the site today and have been having trouble witht the wordpress widgets... go figure.
I'll get it. Meanwhile, they're building faster and faster. Check the site for updates on the restaurant!
ps-back still hurts, but I was out hitting a medium bucket this morning. Just can't resist. I think I'll get my first set of custom clubs here shortly ;)

This post has been edited by an administratorAbout 2 weeks ago I pulled a muscle under my scapula and haven't been able to do much at all.
I was making a transition from chip shots to my 5 iron and consistantly hit it fat. And then got frustrated and hit it harder and harder.
Fortunately I've got the onsite pro here, Ross, to help me out and he straightened me out pretty quick. However, the damage was done and I'm still waiting out this injury.
Meanwhile I went to see a Disc Golf Amateur Tournament in Bowling Green, KY.
Hope everyone's doing well.
Keep 'em flyin'!

I'm hoping to get in a round this week. My wife has an apt this week and that may challenge my desire to go out and play. One of our regulars out here has requested I go with him. He, too, is a beginner and we're hoping not to slow one or another down.
That and we'd have our PGA teaching pro right along with us. Almost a private tutor. It's a great golf life.
We've got the books filled today with the adult clinic starting here soon (which I always try to attend and get in a free lesson) and then our first weekend with more than 2 scheduled lessons. We had someone stop by at 8:30 this morning! That means I'll have to start getting up earlier, but that's just fine with me.

This post has been edited by an administratorSure I'm in the golf business, but I'm also a golfer. I'd be happy to go golf with anyone in the area who would be able to put up with a beginner, which as I've found is not too many golfers.
So in the meanwhile, I'll keep practicing and inviting everyone who can to join me.
