Well, maybe or maybe not, I am really not too sure. What I am sure of, is, someone who really wants to learn the game is born. Whether or not I actually am, or will become a golfer is still yet to be seen.
Over the past few years, I have seriously thought about learning the art of golf, more so over the past 12 months. So I finally decided to get off my lazy butt and get it done. I am enrolling in a course at the local community college to learn the terms of the game, and who knows what else, and I am going to the driving range for the first time this coming Saturday.. WOO HOO!! Up until now, the only game of golf I have ever known includes a laughing clown and usually some type of dinosaurs and waterfalls. Hey, with a few drinks and some shameless fiends, those can be times worth remembering!!
But now it's time for me to grow up; time to walk the greens; time to socialize with perspective clients; time to spend more money than I ever thought possible to simply frustrate myself & chase around a little white ball.... WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME??
Well, if any one actually is reading this, I will hopefully be publishing this blog as I continue thru the ranks of frustration and on to the PGA tour (I can dream can't I). So stay tuned if you care to take the journey with me. As someone who has no experience in the game, I am open to any suggestions you may have for me!!!

I'll be looking forward to reading your impressions as this game gets ahold of you. It's MUCH more than an obsession for me, unlike anything I've experienced throughout my entire life, and I've only been playing for one year this month. I never touched a golf club until I was 46 years old.

It's always a thrill to hear of new players discovering our humble sport. There is no greater enjoyment in my book than when it comes together and you are able to just swing without much thought and know the ball is going where you want it to. It doesn't have to be frustrating, as so many folks experience. Just stay away from all the misleading "quick fixes", focus on the fundamentals, and you'll catch on in short order. Best wishes, and ask questions in the tips forum if you have any.
