What's the biggest thing to work on for a beginner?

I slice on my driver, though I've straightened out all my other clubs.  I don't have much power, and when I try to get power, I slice.  I don't want to just screw with my hands to correct the slice, I'd prefer to get the rest of my swing correct instead of covering up those mistakes.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Usually when you slice on your drive you're setting up too far from the ball with your arms fully extended. Try setting up a little closer with your arms very slightly bent. Your elbows should be pointing at your hipbones if you're at the right distance. Try that and see if it helps. Good luck, Scott70569

I also was prone to slicing off the tee. I invested in a taylormade R5 dual Draw biased. Now I hit it a good distance, straight, with confidence. But I must admit it is not the solution for everyone (no instant fix). I happened to speak to the local pro at the range who said I should give it a try.
