Well, its Monday again, and usually thats sad, since it takes until Saturday to play. However, I have an offer to play a round of golf at my friends club on Wednesday, and since I am my own boss, I graciously accepted. Now the bad news........ As previously stated, My plan was to play 36 this past Sunday. The bad news is, I did! I probably was better off staying under the covers, snuggling with my girlfriend. But I had decided that I would get myself up at 6 am (luckily we turned the clocks back and I got an extra hr of sleep) and leave by 6:30 am, drive 45 minutes with my cup of Java, and be teeing off my 7:45. I thought my play at first was rather adequate, however the score didnt reflect. Then came my typical blow up hole probably it was 7 or 8. I never recovered. I actually was feeling sorry for myself, why me, why me? who needs this in this cold weather? Then I realized, I was the lucky one. I was doing what I loved, marveling at the trees that were turning colors in true autumn fashion, and being inspired to play another 18, and laughing at the people who already put their clubs away for the season! what a joke! However that being said, the 2nd round seemed like a complete copy of my first round, sad to say. So after a couple of suds back in the clubhouse after 36 holes, and seeing the NY Jets loose in overtime to the redskins, I decided to be on my way, back to the city, and of course a typical 45 minute drive, took an hour and a ,do to the weekend traffic. Luckily I listened to the colt-patriot game on the radio, which made the trip back to the city almost tolerant. Funny, as lousy as I played both games, I slept like a baby! But I tell you, I wont be sleeping that well come Tuesday in anticipation of the excitement of playing another round on wednesday morning.

Greetings golffanatics. Well, I was supposed to play 4 rounds of golf in 3 days, turned into only 1 round today.  The golf gods were not to kind to us this weekend, as We got rained out Friday and Saturday.  However that being said, I know all my fellow eurpoean/scottish,/and Irish golfaholics would of gone out. But not us. We dont even have the opportunity to play in the rain, as the club actually was closed.  So I went out today, on a windy sunday morning,  THe wind was hard to make good club selection, but nevertheless, I was able to score well (at least fo rmy ability).. So know I start contemplating my games for the follwoing weekend.  While doign so, I sit and watch the NFL Giants play the Miami Dolphins, at Wembley in London. I realize, that if Americans can admire and grow its audienc in a game of golf that  such a slow paced game,  there is no reason to doubt that the Europeans will embrace the game of the National Football League.  Anyways,  One last note,  I am curious if anyone actually reads my blogs,  It would greatly be appreciated if you can alert me, and tell me who reads my blog.  Until next week, I bid Adieu!

Well, Well, Well,  I got into my office last monday morning, opened up my coffee, and decided it was time now to get serious.....well all i could think about was golfing for the following weekend.  Finally,  after 5 long days, Saturday had arrived, I was so excited, I was actually up at 3:30 am Saturday morning.  Not Good!  With the lack of sleep, I had a tee of at 7:50am, and decided to get to the course early about a quarter to 7.   I hit quite well on the range mind you!!!!,  So we go out, and my swing was all messed up.!!!!  Finally I figured out a couple of things, to get in a groove, but the day and scoring well, was done for me!   Now, I havent told you what a huge Met fan in baseball I am,  So after the Mets won Saturday, and the Phillies lost, the Mets were tied for first place with the last game of the season riding for both teams, on Sunday.  So as excited as I was,   I put on my Met Golf shirt, and my Titelist hat that has a met logo, and I was wearing the colors of my favorite baseball team on the course.  Well,   it helped me out quite a bit, as I played rather well,  Unfortunately, it didnt work out the same way for the mets.  So much to my frustration, that the Mets wont play again until next Aprl,  at least I get to golfing again, next weekend, with a golf outing tomorrow on Monday.!

Well, Fall has arrived,  and usually I look forward to heading up to the hudson valley area to play, where I usually admire the leaves changing colors.  However this is not the case, and thats ok by me.  There is nothing better, than playing at this time of year, and still being in short sleeve shirt and shorts.  I played in an outing on Thursday at the Creek Club in Locust Valley. It had some of the most stunning views I have seen of the Long Island Sound.  We played $2.00 Nassau,  I ended up making a little bit of money.  On Saturday, which was another pleasent day,  I played from the back Tees, at my club,  and all things considering I thought I played ok.  Tee Shots went astray however.  On Sunday, Played from my Normal white tee's,  and on the first hole, I got a birdie- What a great way to start your day at -1.  However after the 2nd Hole I think I was at +2.   But it was a great day, a great weekend, and a great week.

at least for me it is; I just joined a golf club, and believe me, I never thought I would joing one, as I like playing on different courses, and I tend to stereotype these clubs as "Stuffy Ok, so I joined a semi private course, but I can at least call it home. Since, I could not find anyone to play this weekend, as most of my friends, are married, and have responsibilities, I decided to see if I could tee off by myself, alone, before the first group went out, and to my surprise my course let me. So at the first sign of the sun, coming up, with an orange glow; I teed off, and missed the fairway with my 3 iron (short par 4), tried playing it smart- but ended with a double bogey. So with my tee time temperature at 48 degrees, I was off and running. I realized that it is quite difficult playing a round of golf by yourself, as you have no one able to help you locate the whereabouts of my ball. But I guess If I kept it on the fairway more often, there would of been no problem. By the tenth hole, I took off my heavy layer, stayed with the moch long sleeve, I had underneath. The sun was shining, and the grass, started drying- thank goodness, as wet fairways took yardage off my shots. As poor of a score I put in, it didnt matter, I was done by a quarter to nine, and had the whole day ahead of me. I am already thinking of my games I have scheduled for both next saturday and sunday. This time I am out with friends, which I am sure will make for some interesting stories.
