Man am I glad football season is in full tilt, with college basketball starting soon. Ive been taking some time off from golf, mostly b/c Ive been playing bad. Moving into a new house has also taken up a-lot of my time.

Wow! What a turn around this course has undergone. The new management has come in and done a wonderful job! This course was the course that you only played when ABSOLUTELY had to! The weather was absolutely perfect, felt like a late september morning. Played one of my better rounds in a long time. There was actually grass on the greens, which was the previous managers problem. A fungus had gotten in on them and there used to be greens that had more sand than green. Fairways were cut regularly, but the grass wasnt the best out there either, but theyve even got the areas around the green looking great. Sand traps are in great shape, theyve also been removing some lame trees around the course. The tee shot on 17 is the only complaint from me, they should cut down some trees on the left side of the fairway! They have a par three course onsite, but they havent gotten around to fixing it up, but I imagine it will happen eventually. Driving range is okay- kinda short, putting green is decent as well.

Three Pines Club Championship is getting closer, Aug 2nd is coming. I'll be playing from the back tees from now until Aug 3rd. I havent been playing well lately, maybe a combination of playing to much and over thinking, but I shot a 90 yesterday (6/24/08) and I missed 2 easy par putts. So hopefully this is the beginning of the turn for the better. The 2 rounds before this one were absolutely terrible, where the one at Carolina CC being the worst- 18 holes and ONE par. How I shot a 99 I'll never know.
