Hi Golflink !
I've been using an old Magellan Meridian GPS for the past couple months to determine course distances; I pre-programmed the green's center and use that info to make guesstimates for selecting a club.
I think I would benefit by having a course database available to me but there are only 2 courses in town (Hickory NC) listed on the "sky caddie" website (henry river and river crest) which are 2 of my most played courses.
I also wish the SG-5 took commonly available AA-batteries.
Do any of you golflink readers have a "sky caddie" - how have you liked it and how is the online internet side of "sky caddie" ??
Have you realized a need to have a 2nd battey ??
Just Wondering ??

Cellular based GPS has been improving every single month. This new site has a new way of mapping and analyzing your rounds. It's going to be available on the Iphone for free and they are going to be expanding to Blackberry as well as Palm, Android and other platforms. Plus they're giving away some great prizes pre-launch. http://www.Golfbert.com
