I have to rant about it because it frustrates me when I go to the course and play with someone I meet there or play with a group and people pick up the ball when its within a foot of the hole. Just putt it! Whats worse is I have seen plenty of people be more then a foot away and pick the ball up.
The satisfaction of the little clickity clank is the sound of completion. The hole is the goal and then to just assume you would make a short putt and to not finish is silly. I know not everyone will agree with me but if your going to play golf, finish the hole and putt it in.
I am confident I'll make a HIO so lets just forget the shot and write a 1 on my card.

um, your completely wrong, you pick the #@!$ing ball up to speed up play. putt it in if your playing for money or if it's outside the leather. otherwise pick up those gimmes and "Move #@!$, Get Out The Way!"

I have to agree drive for show put for doe all shots count all the time. In the end its all about putting your balls in the holes. Its not about the beer drinking If ouy want to drink go to the bar. thanks
