hello everyone...i'm a 42 year old computer engineer working in the New York City Wall Street area... decided to get back into my golf game after a 6 year absence...seems like everyone on Wall Street plays golf... my company has a few outings each year and so it's probably not a bad idea if i really worked on my game..
i'm probably a 25 handicap now... but still improving each day...
not sure if anyone is from the Yonkers area... i've played at a few bronx courses but i'm making Sprain Lake in Yonkers my new home...
my weapons of choice: Taylormade R7 irons, Callaway 460 driver, Cleveland wedges in 54, 56, and 60, and Odyssey malet putter... and i'm a lefty!
came across this site...noticed all the great training info here and registered right away!
hope to meet some of you soon!!

if you havent' played pelham and split rock in the bronx, or dyker beach in bklyn than you should. both closer than yonkers and very good courses. of course they can get very backed up during weekend rounds. fortunately i've got connections at pelham/split and a flexible schedule so i don't pay much and I can play during the middle of the day.

i actually live near the pelham/split rock course but didn't get the warm and fuzzy when i visited them once so i never bothered to return.
i did play in the vancortland course for a couple of years...
i've also been dunwoodie a few times....
sprainlake seems to have some great people which i have met recently..
if you vouch for pelham that's cool... i'd like to give them another try.. would be nice to play near home.

I will be playing at Sprain Lake in Yonkers this Sunday afternoon (about 1:00pm at the driving range first) if anyone wants to meet up and play..
should be a very nice and low humidity day!

my suggestion was that if you never played pelham, you should have a try. and last month, I played pelham again, it's very interesting.. one of my e-pal,which I met from the www.ebayoyo.com , said that she still likes pelham very much..

i played there again right before it really got too cold to play and had a blast. met some nice people and we played till it was too dark to see anything.. it was great!
hope to meet up with some of you soon.. let me know the next time you guys go out... feel free to shoot me an email, drodrigueznyc@yahoo.com
