OK, I know about ESC. Currently, I am a 15 handicap. I know that the highest score I can post for a hole is 7. My question is, does that apply in tournament play or is that just done during non-competitive rounds? The tournaments I play in are all net score events, so I'm confused as to this issue. Anybody an expert on this?

you post your Gross score and notate it with a T because it occurred in tourney play. Also, just because your a 15 doesn't mean you can only post a 7 max. It has to do with what your course handicap is for that course. If the course were really difficult, your 15 handicap could translate to a course handicap over 20 which means the max you could post would be an 8.

Thanks. I knew about the course handicap thing, I just didn't srticulate it well. But that clears up the tournament issue.
