Just played in a howling gale and broke 80 for the first time in competition (79). No one in the household appreciates or understands my enthusiasm so I had to post here.

Net 66 with the CSS predicted at 71. This should see me cut too 11.1 . Even better still was the manner of my score. I hit 2 poor tee shots (driver) and was short a few times due to the wind (between 1 and 2 1/2 clubs at times). 28 putts, 2 sand saves from 4 and I still left shots out there.

Bring on the next round!!!!

but your 79 should put you in the 8's for hdcp if I'm right.
that is if your normal rounds are around 80-85....

a 79 would be around an 8 for that round but for handicap purposes that is only one round out of what is probably 20 rounds that is why it won't lower him that much.
