Alright here is the deal.
Ever since the first time I swung a club the ball has went lower than... well never mind how lower than... It is getting a little frustrating.
Basicly I need some advice on how to get the ball up in the air. Much a pre she ate it for any advice.
Thank you.

read all the tips on here that you can about thin shots. Right now I'm going through the opposite problem of yours, hitting everything fat, for the most part.

You might want to give some more information.
Is the problem with all your clubs or just certain ones?
What does the ball do besides go lower than you want? Straight, fade, draw, hook, slice?
Where do you play the ball in your stance? Forward, center, back?
Are you making solid contact? Thin hits? Blading it?
I'm not much help because I've always hit rather high shots, but I'm sure someone here will have an answer for you.

i have a bit of a unique perspective to offer. I'm a beginner because i've only been playing since october however, i've probably played close to 75 rounds in that time and I'm told the average golfer only plays about 10 rounds a year so I think i have a lot of experience.
I've been doing a lot of work the last month improving my ballstriking with irons and I can say that ball placement in my stance has been the biggest help. I tend to hit a low ball also but it is more by design as I think it is easier to adjust to a higher shot on a calm day than to bring a high shot down on a windy day. Basically I'm really focusing on hitting down on the ball and I have a sensation of almost pulling my hands right through with the sensation that the club is trailing behind me at impact. Some people would think that the low shot is going to skip across the green but I have found that because this gets so much more backspin on the ball that it really just hits the green and checks up nicely.
At the end of the day just keep working at it!
A great tip for improving my ball striking was to start by just taking half swings with each club. Most mistakes seem to happen at the very top of the backswing so if you get good with a shorter swing it becomes easier to just lengthen it a bit more.
For example, today I was 140 yards away from the green whcih is an 8 or a 9 iron for me normally. I took a half swing with a 5 iron to keep the ball low and it rolled up there nicely. Likewise I had another shot from 145 yards which is more like a solid 8 iron for me but I elected to hit a higher trajectory 7 iron since it was calm and it worked great.

we started playing about the same time, CP.
other than what I said above, one quick piece of advice that I will tell you is....NEVER lose faith in the club. It is designed to do a job that its been tested on for a hundred years. A lot of people want to help the club get the ball up at some point or another.
Hit down, it will go up..never try to lift the ball.

Hey GC, where in your stance do you play your irons. I had the exact problem you did and went and saw a pro. He told me after adressing the ball, little step forward left foot, bigger step back with right foot, so the ball is a bit more forward in my stance. You may also need to widen your stance a bit, then start with some half swings or 3/4 swing.

I think your problem is spelling and grammar. Get that fixed and you'll be ready for the Tour. lol. I still don't really understand the question, though. You want to be able to hit the ball higher? Probably just need to hit it in the middle of the clubface instead of hitting it thin. Move the ball back in your stance, shallow out your swing, and swing at what you think would be about 80 percent.

Most of you have had the same question "Where do you put the ball in your stance?" I would say I put it on the flat part of my swing wich would be (short irons) just about off my right eye. Mid and long irons and hybrid, is center of my stance. 3 wood, off my left eye. And driver, off my left heel.
Oh and this happens with all of my clubs save it be LW, SW, PW.

this could also be a shaft issue. depending on the flex and kickpoint of the shaft your ball is going to go lower or higher

Your problem could be the club face is getting ahead of you hands at impact. Play the ball in the middle of your stance and swing easy make sure your hands get through the hitting area before the club face.
