I'm interested to hear about everyone's favorite hole. Just pick one. Don't worry about the course, just the hole. But it must be one that you have played.

I'll start off. First off, I have only played a few courses, as I just started playing seriously about 2 years ago. But my favorite hole so far was the 14th at The Golf Club at Vistoso near Tucson Arizona.

The hole's name is "Risky" which accurately describes your tee shot. It is a par 4 that allows you to choose from three landing spots. Long and accurate hitters can go for the green, but from the tips, that's a 257 yard carry with a big tree to negotiate. Medium hitters can go for the second fairway that requires a 200 yard carry, but leaves you with an unobstructed approach shot. Shorter hitters can easily reach the first fairway, but must then shoot blindly over a large tree to the green.
I love holes that make you think about where to hit the ball, and hole #14 takes this to the extreme.

I'm not a real big hitter, but I have to say its the 5th hole at Country Meadows. 451 yard, dog leg left, par 5. Lake on the right side at 235, elevated green. If you kiss it right up to the edge of the lake your in a perfect 216 yard 3 wood to the green and possible eagle. I've done it twice, but paid the dues to the water gods more times then I care to say....

My favorite hole is the 18th at The Ranches Golf Club in Eagle Mtn, UT. It is a par 4 that features a 60-80 foot climb from tee to green. The green is fronted by two bunkers with a small gap in between, and deep rough at the back of the green. But, if you can get your tee shot high enough, you can get it on the green. If not, there is a great spot just in front of the bunkers to hit your shot.
My scramble team made eagle on that hole last year. We wouldn't have won the tournament without that hole!

I'm a beginner (just started playing in May) so I don't have a lot of experience, but this question is a no-brainer for me: the 18th hole at Rattlewood golf course in Mount Airy, Maryland.
It's a 323 yard, dog leg left, par 4 finishing hole. Three weeks ago my tee shot landed in the middle of the dog leg bend about 270 yards away (got a great roll). That left me a 50 yard pitch that stopped pin high, 12 feet right of the hole. Drained the putt. The only birdie I've ever had. I still get a good feeling when I think about that.

my favorite hole would have to be the 18th at pebble Beach even though i lost some in the water is is a great hole to play you have to have so much accuracy to hit a good shot it is either the water the sand bunkers and this little peice of fairway. but i also like the 2nd at esmerlda it is par 5 little dog leg to the left bt if you hit a good shot off the tee you can get it o the green in two if you are a great hitter it also is very narrow.

I can't wait to play Pebble Beach, especially the 18th and the Par 3 7th that shoots directly at the ocean. I've played it on my XBOX 360, but not sure that's going to help prepare me for the real thing!

Doug, are you going to play Pebble Beach soon, or is it on the wishlist?
