Yeaa !!!!!  I finally broke 100 at a course I play in Lamar, SC called Governers run. I actually hit a chip-in birdie on number 18 to stay in the double digits. I did something I never do and added the score up at the end of 17 because I knew I was close. 18 is a severe dogleg right par 4 and my drive had been going right all day so this hole was good for me. I rared back and hit a big slice that I aimed at a tree at the start of the dogleg, it sliced and wound up nicely in the fairway. My second was a decent 7 iron from about 130 yards and it landed about 3 feet short of the green. I have never taken as many practice swings as I did at that chip shot. I finally stepped up with my nine iron and hit a nice little chip, I was about 12 feet fron the pin and it landed, checked up nice, got a little right to left action and actually dropped !!! I am at work right now, but you still couldn't sandblast the smile off my face. I hope to keep consistent and put together another decent round(for me, anyway) when I go Sunday...I dont know if the golf courses are open on Easter but if they are I will be there. Hit em good, but more importantly have fun doing it

This game is like an addictive drug. Played 18 with my bud yesterday and he broke 100 for the first time !! We have both come close the past few times but he shot a legit 98. I hit a 110, but with a few bright spots. I had the only birdie of the day, my first ever on a par 3. That just makes me want to go back right away and play 18 more. I had a pretty good back 9 by my standards, I actually got smart and left the driver in the bag. Hope to hit up the range tonight if I have any light left and try to cure my slice (this is my never-ending battle). Anyway, I am now completely consumed with golf and  and plan on a few lessons, a decent set of clubs and getting a membership at one of my local courses, if my tax check permits. Can't wait for Sunday and Wednesday to get here, Sunday is mainly my practice day at the range and at the putting greens, at night I just use my living room carpet, Wednesday is golf day. Hope to report back soon with some good double-digit news.
