Hello GolfLink members!

You might have gotten an email recently letting you know that GolfLink will be launching its subscription service soon. It’s true – very soon some of our features will be available only to subscribers.

But not to worry: Everyone who is currently a member of GolfLink has already received a one-year subscription for FREE! If you signed up before July 9th this year, you have a free subscription till July 9th, 2008.  If you signed up afterwards, your subscription is free for a year from the date you signed up. It’s our thank you for being a part of GolfLink since we re-launched the site and for helping to grow our community.

The subscription service will officially launch during the week of December 10th, 2007. If you have any golfing buddies who aren’t already GolfLink members, we encourage you to get them to sign up right away so that they too can access all of GolfLink’s features for free for a year.

Some of you are wondering why GolfLink is launching a subscription service. With a subscription service, we’ll be able to ensure that we can consistently expand our library of tips and videos, be able to keep the site as up to date as possible in terms of course information, we’ll be able to implement new features (for instance, we hope to add a golf news section very soon) and we’ll be able to ensure that we offer the best service possible for members and subscribers alike.

Here are some of the features that are available to subscribers: Tips and videos, scorecards, yardage books, and detailed  maps. We have had a lot of great feedback on all of these features and are told that they really help golfers improve their game.

Please be assured that GolfLink is dedicated to its community and to the game of golf. Much of the site will continue to be free; features such as a personal profile, blogs, the forums, course information and reviews, and the MyGame tracker.  We hope that you continue to enjoy the site and be a part of GolfLink.
