On Monday, June 23, 1997 at the Braemar Country Club in the quiet hills of Tarzana, CA (the southwest corner of the San Fernando Valley), young Hollywood will descend en masse onto the fairways for Fore Play '97, the First Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), one of the largest AIDS service organizations in the nation.

For the past five years, APLA, which provides 30 services to almost 6,000 men, women & children with HIV/AIDS in LA County, has benefited tremendously from the fundraising efforts of acclaimed actors Stephen Baldwin("The Usual Suspects") and Jason Gedrick(TV series "Murder One," "The Last Don") through their annual celebrity billiards tournament Pool AID. Celebrities at past Pool AIDs have included Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Slater, Keanu Reaves, Sandra Bullock, Tupac Shakur, Cameron Diaz, Noah Wyle and Dean Cain.

This year Stephen and Jason wished to increase the level of participation and looked to the world of golf to do so. Stephen and Jason secured PGA touring professional Robert Gamez, certainly one of the most exciting players on the national golf scene, to be the third co-host for the event. The three co-hosts promise the most entertaining Hollywood ACTION on the fairway since Bing Crosby turned in his clubs and irons!

The Fore Play '97 tournament will involve 28 teams (four buy-in players and one celebrity on each team) playing 18 holes in a five-person scramble format.

Event highlights include:

• Pairing Breakfast (starts at 8AM)
• Tournament begins (shotgun start, first nine holes played)
• Barbecue Lunch (starts at 11:30AM)
• Tournament Concludes (final nine holes played)
• VIP Cocktail Reception following play (starts at 3PM)
• VIP buffet dinner and awards presentation (starts at 5PM)
• Day-long VIP hosted area, including silent auction

Player spots in the tournament may be purchased for a donation of $1,250, and VIP tickets for $225.
