Contour
The FootJoy Contour is made with a full-grain leather upper and, according to FootJoy, is the most flexible shoe it makes. The Contour is designed for comfort, with a shape that closely matches that of the human foot. This super-lightweight shoe is built using many of the same techniques used in running shoes, including a lightweight, cushioned mid-sole.
Tour Pros
Many tour professionals, like the often flamboyantly-dressed Ian Poulter, have taken advantage of the FootJoy MyJoys site to build unique, fashionable and even playful versions of their favorite high-performance FootJoy golf shoes.
Process
The process of selecting your shoe, color and other custom choices could not be simpler. The MyJoys site first lets you choose your shoe in a sample color combination. You can select that color or customize the color based on your particular preference. The next step allows you to choose a graphic, a logo or a monogram for the outside heel of each shoe. You can place a graphic on one or both shoes, or neither if that's your preference.
Options
FootJoy allows you to customize the Contour series shoe by base color, saddle color and accent color. Simply select your color from a palate of available colors and textures. Then select any graphics you might want to add at the heel. You can choose a different graphic for each shoe or one for both shoes or, if you prefer, no graphic or monogram at all. Another unique feature: FootJoy allows you to select a different size or width for either shoe--if you need it.
Cost
The customized version of the FootJoy Contour runs at a slightly higher suggested price than the basic model: $140 compared to $115 (in 2009 prices). But any and all customizations you select are included in that $25 difference.
