The Course
The golf course is a par-70, 18-hole course that is a total of 6,235 yards in length. The course rating is 68.7 with a slope of 115. The fifth hole is considered the course's signature hole, as a water hazard wraps around the front of the green and consumes short approach shots. There are four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Green fees range from $47 to $70 (as of 2009).
Amenities
In addition to the course, other golf amenities include a driving range and an area for putting and chipping. Golf carts, rental clubs and practice balls are also available. An on-site grill provides refreshments after the round, and there is a pro shop available for merchandise purchases.
Tee Times
The easiest way to book a tee time is to go online (see Resources). By doing so you can receive a large discount, which can range anywhere from 36 to 91 percent depending on the time and day you choose. There is also a search function that allows you to check available tee times well into the future.
Group Play
Group play is available for your charity tournament or corporate outing. You can select form a variety of meal formats, including sit-down or buffet style. You can also choose from a range of playing formats, including scramble, two- or four-person best ball or individual stroke play. Services such as a hole-in-one contest, longest drive competition and photography are also available.
Accommodations
The town of Surprise has a variety of accommodations if you are traveling from afar to the Arizona Traditions Golf Course.
