About
The Classic Tour RF golf shoes are, in a way, an affiliate of the original Classics Tour line of shoes. However, in the case of the RF shoes, the Fit-Bed can be removed, thereby suiting players who elect to wear their own custom-built shoe insoles. It is not necessary, however, to don custom insoles in the Classics Tour RF shoes, but simply an option for those who choose to.
Specs
The FootJoy Classics Tour RF golf shoes are made from calfskin leather in the upper portion, and feature a temperature-response membrane designed for certain weather conditions. Full leather linings come standard, as does a two-year limited waterproof warranty. The shoes come equipped with a cushioned leather insole, Goodyear welt construction, the aforementioned removable Fit-Bed, and a cushioned EVA midsole. The Classics Tour RF shoe also features a tri-density TPU outsole, dual OptiFlex technology, and Softspikes Pulsar cleats.
Comfort
The Classics Tour RF shoe was no doubt produced with comfort in mind. After all, the calfskin leather stretches to fit most feet dimensions, while leather linings were also designed for comfort and breathability. Meanwhile, the leather insoles were designed for shock absorption, while the EVA (ethyl vinyl acetate) midsoles provide more cushioning underneath the foot.
Pricing and Availability
The Classics Tour line of shoes is no longer featured on the FootJoy website, but you can still purchase the Tour RF shoes through numerous online retailers. A pair of shoes runs approximately $275 to $325, depending on the golf outlet from which you purchase.
