Callaway Golf
Callaway Golf is named after one of its founders, Ely Callaway. He bought a share of Hickory Stick USA, a tiny golf club maker, in 1982. He added his name to the company and became president and CEO in 1983. The company moved to Carlsbad, California, in 1985 and became Callaway Golf in 1988. Callaway started making golf balls in 1996, clothing in 2002 and footwear and timepieces in 2003.
Uppers
The uppers of the Gen X Series Chevs are made of smooth leather and designed to be soft and waterproof. Callaway's dual density construction gives the shoe more comfort and durability. The shoe uses laces to tighten it with a traditional lacing system. The RainSport waterproof system, a unique Callaway technology, is designed to make the shoes twice as waterproof as most other methods. It also allows consistent air flow through the shoe to keep the foot dry and comfortable.
Insole
The Gen X Series Chevs also have a moisture management system, which Callaway calls DrySport. Part of this technology is moisture-wicking materials that line the insole, designed to keep your foot dry and comfortable by drawing moisture away. When this is combined with RainSport, you can play comfortably in any playing conditions.
Xtra Width Technology
Gen X Series Chevs can be adjusted from wide width to a regular width using Xtra Width Technology (XWT). This uses a pad in the forefoot of the insole to keep the shoe at a wide width. Just take out the easily removable pad to make it a normal width. XWT was made specifically for golfers who have feet that are two different widths. This allows them to adjust one foot without having to adjust the other.
Warranty
All Callaway products are guaranteed against defects for two years after the date of purchase. Callaway will repair or replace any product found to be defective. Waterproofing is also guaranteed for two years for the Gen X Series Chevs. There is also a 30-day comfort guarantee.
