Lens Material
The lenses are made of advanced optical-grade polycarbonate, which is a thermoplastic polymer that resists impact and breakage. The polycarbonate is strong enough to allow the lenses to be thin and lightweight. The lenses are also covered with a hard coat that is resistant to scratches.
Tint
The C401 series is made with Neox lenses. These lenses block out all ultraviolet light, while also letting in most of the visible light in the color spectrum, which allows you to see more clearly and reduces eye fatigue. Most gray lenses block out 85 percent of all light, which makes it difficult to see and lets in some ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet light is harmful to eyes and long-term exposure to it can cause cataracts and other problems.
Frames
All Callaway sunglasses have an integrated fit system, which is designed to give you maximum comfort and performance while you golf. They also have rubber nose grips that reduce slippage.
Styles
The C401 series has a rimless frame with the ear and nosepieces attached directly to the lenses. The lenses come in three shapes: oval, rectangular or oval rectangular. The frames also come in two different colors: gun metal and bronze.
C400 Series
The C401 series is part of a larger series of Callaway sunglasses. These include the C400, the C410 and the C420 as well as the C401. The C401 is the only rimless frame style in the series.
