Clubs and Bars
Most clubs and bars in Las Vegas are inside the major hotel casinos. So if you stay at one of the famous hotels along The Strip, the best nightlife is not far away. Each major hotel casino has three or four lounges, bars and restaurants, with enough variety to last an entire weekend. Caesars Palace, MGM Grand, The Venetian, Paris Las Vegas and the New York New York Hotel and Casino all have excellent nightclubs and bars.
Shows and Entertainment
Enjoy amazing acts such as Cirque du Soleil, which presents a different show at six casinos in Las Vegas. Catch all six shows to round out your nightlife and entertainment. There is a show at the Bellagio, Luxor, Treasure Island, New York New York Hotel and Casino, The Mirage and the MGM Grand. From incredible acrobatics to magic, the Cirque du Soleil offers something for everyone.
Comedy Acts and Music
Las Vegas features some of the nation's best comedy acts, musical performances and Broadway shows. They are hosted at different venues, including major hotels on The Strip. The Bellagio, Venetian and MGM Grand are a few of the best-known venues for comedy, music and other performances. They hold shows nightly; check each hotel's website for dates and times. Many hotels have "stay-and-play" packages that include discounts to show tickets, concerts and other area attractions. These packages are perks to persuade you to stay at the hotel.
Live Music
The Hard Rock Hotel live performances of bands and singers nearly every night. The House of Blues at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino is a great choice for jazz and blues fans. The Bootlegger Bistro and Bourbon Street Lounge also have live music.
Downtown
Las Vegas has two sections, the main drag on Las Vegas Boulevard and the downtown area on Fremont Street. Today you can see downtown's revitalization, with some great after-hours bars. If you are looking for hip entertainment, try the Beauty Bar; for a traditional Irish setting, Hennessey's Tavern and Pub is an excellent choice. Both are off the main drag and away from the craze of Las Vegas Boulevard.
