Tour de las Americas
Goya turned professional in 2007 and first competed in the Tour de las Americas. He played in three tournaments that year. The following year, he competed in several tournaments on the Tour de las Americas and earned his first tournament title at the Abierto Visa del Centro Presentado por Personal. He also took fifth at the Torneo de Argentina.
Challenge Tour
Goya's performance in the Tour de las Americas earned him a spot in the European Challenge Tour in 2008. Goya made the most of this opportunity, winning the Apulia San Domenico Grand Final, his last tournament of the year. The win secured his place on the European Tour for the following year.
European Tour
Goya played in two events on the European Tour in 2008, with his best finish being 12th at the Methorios Capital Italian Open. In 2009, Goya did not take long to make his presence felt on the tour. In just his fourth tournament of the season, Goya took first at the Madeira Islands Open BPI--Portugal. He also had two other top-10 finishes in 2009 (as of August), taking 10th at the Joburg Open and ninth at the Moravia Silesia Open.
At the Majors
Goya competed at the 2009 U.S. Open but was forced to withdraw in the second round. It is the only major tournament he has competed in to date; he has not competed in the Masters, British Open or the PGA Championship. Goya has competed in some of the European Tour's top tournaments, including the European Open, Spanish Open and French Open.
