Las Vegas Visitors' Information
Las Vegas is one of America's most popular tourist destinations. It features everything you can imagine, from championship golf course to fine dining and shopping. Of course, there are hundreds of casinos, many of which are world-famous, and the luxury hotels offer every amenity you can imagine. If you are visiting Las Vegas, here's the information you need.

Golf

Las Vegas offers several executive length and championship golf courses in one of the best environments for the sport in the country. You'll enjoy the amazing desert landscape as you challenge yourself on one of the many great courses in and around the city. When in town, be sure to visit one of Jack Nicklaus' golf courses like Bear's Best on Flamingo Road. There are many more, including Painted Desert Golf Course, the first desert golf course ever built in the area. Its green fairways will tempt your best strokes and you'll marvel at how it was built in the arid landscape.

Casinos and Entertainment

There are endless shows and numbers of casinos in Las Vegas, which include some of the world's best. For cheap entertainmen, be sure to catch the Bellagio Hotel fountains, which dazzle spectators every few minutes. Then enjoy the high class decor inside the casino. Many of the best casinos are on Las Vegas Boulevard, which is the city's main drag, but some lesser-known casinos are worth a visit. The Klondike, which is off the strip, features an authentic atmosphere with low-limit blackjack tables. There is entertainment inside all the major casinos as well, with nightly singing, musicals and more famous acts like Cirque Du Soleil.

Shopping

When you've had enough gambling and golfing, you may want to check out the city's shopping. It is not just for the well-heeled. The city offers several great shopping outlets, which include the Las Vegas Outlet Center, where you'll find discounts on popular brands. You should also see the Boulevard Mall on Maryland Parkway and the Fashion Outlets of Vegas located in the Primm Valley Resort and Casino. There are shopping centers in Caesar's Palace (The Forum Shops at Caesar's) and the famous Grand Canal Shops situated on a real canal inside the Venetian Hotel and Casino.

Hotels

Typical hotel stays in Las Vegas will treat you to extensive luxury in large suites that offer plush accommodations. You will also be amazed by the extensive amount of amenities. Many Las Vegas hotels feature dining, nightclubs, shopping and entertainment venues inside. The most well-known hotels, including the MGM Grand, Luxor, Mirage, Bellagio and Ceaesar's Palace, feature these top amenities plus more. If you want to enjoy it all, stay at one of these hot spots, which are centrally located on Las Vegas Boulevard, the main drag. To avoid the craze of the Strip, and to save some money, look for a hotel like the Eastside Cannery on Boulder Highway.
