All-Inclusive Deals
All-inclusive means that you pay one flat rate for your vacation, and everything is included: airfare, hotel room, meals, tips and transportation to and from the airport. Some deals may even include a free excursion to snorkel, hike or dive. You can buy package deals directly from major airlines, or search travel websites such as Kayak.com and Expedia.com. When searching for these deals, look for packages that say "all-inclusive" and make sure to read the fine print carefully before purchasing.
Budget Travel
Airlines, hotels and resorts are partnering up more and more to appeal to frugal travelers. These budget packages will usually include airfare and hotel stay and not much else. Although these deals will most likely not be all-inclusive, they will allow travelers to get to and stay in Bermuda for less than buying plane tickets and hotel accommodations separately. Resorts such as the Fairmont Hamilton Princess, the Fairmont Southampton and Elbow Beach Hotel offer budget-minded deals.
Golfing in Bermuda
Bermuda draws golfers to experience the island's seven championship courses as well as the Bermuda Golf Academy & Driving Range. One of the most popular courses on the island is the Port Royal Golf Course. In early 2010, the Bermuda Department of Tourism offered a Golf Around Getaway package featuring three nights at a resort and three rounds of golf at three different courses--including Port Royal--for $599 per person. This package also included breakfast daily, club rentals, a cart at each course and three sleeves of golf balls.
Family-Friendly Resorts
Many Bermuda resorts cater package deals to families, and these deals are usually all-inclusive. The resorts will offer specific activities for children as well as on-site babysitting for an additional fee. As of early 2010, the Fairmont Southampton, for instance, offered an all-inclusive deal for families and featured a Children's Activity Center for kids 5 years and up and an arcade. Another resort with family-friendly packages is the Grotto Bay Resort, which offers children's programs and on-site babysitting.
Online Resources
Because rates change constantly, online travel sites can provide a wealth of information on current package deals. Cheap Caribbean is the go-to spot when searching for really good deals to Bermuda. For instance, in early 2010, this site offered a four-night airfare/hotel package for Fairmont Southampton (which has a par-3 golf course) for $649 per person. A similar search on Kayak found a substantial list of Bermuda vacation packages, including many for under $900. Under Expedia's "Vacation Packages" section, you'll find more information on package deals for various hotels and resorts in Bermuda. And the Bermuda Department of Tourism's website also offers deals and packages year-round.
