Zanotti was born May 21, 1983, in Asuncion, Paraguay. He stands 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 154 pounds. Before he turned professional in 2003, he was the top-ranked amateur golfer in Paraguay for six years.
Professional Victory
Zanotti's lone victory as a professional golfer was in 2007, when he captured the top spot at the second event of the European Challenge Tour, the Abierto Mexicano Corona. He carded a 9 under par to claim victory in that event.
Introduction to Golf
Zanotti has been familiar with the game of golf since he was 2 years old, when, according to his profile on the European Tour site, would "run behind my father with a small stick and a ball -- I'm not saying I was playing at that age, but I already had the bug."
Amateur Team Play
As an amateur golfer, Zanotti twice represented Paraguay during team play for the Eisenhower Trophy. The event occurs every two years and is a world amateur team championship that is organized by the International Gold Federation. He appeared in that event in 2000 and 2002.
