Personal Information
Yokoo was born July 24, 1972, in Tokyo, Japan. He stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. Yokoo attended college at Nihon University and turned professional in 1995.
Japan Golf Tour Victories
Yokoo has five Japan Golf Tour victories to his credit. His first win was in 1998, when he was victorious in the Acom International. He followed that with wins at the Tokai Classic (1999); Japan PGA Match-Play Championship Promise Cup (2000); Dunlop Phoenix Tournament (2002); and the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup Golf (2006).
PGA Tour
Yokoo competed on the PGA Tour from 2001 to 2003. His best finish was in January 2002, when he finished in a tie for second place at the Phoenix Open. He shot 16-under par for the tournament, and took home $352,000. He played 27 events in 2001 and won $478,000; 28 events in 2002 and won $490,000; and 22 events in 2003 and won $56,000.
Major Championships
Yokoo has competed in four U.S. Open Championships, but he has not been a factor in any of them. He tied for 57th place in his first U.S. Open, and failed to make the cut in 2002, 2007 and 2009. He has not played in The Masters, British Open Championship or the PGA Championship.
Personal Bests
Yokoo's best round as a professional on the Japan Golf Tour was in 2008, when he carded a 62 in the Asia-Pacific Panasonic Open. He went on to finish tied for fifth place in that event. The most birdies he has carded in a single round was 10 at the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup in 2008.
