Suk-ho was born August 20, 1973 in Seoul, South Korea. He weighs 170 pounds and stands 5 feet, 9 inches tall. Suk-ho attended college at Chae Yoog University, and has been a professional golfer since 1995.
Japan Golf Tour Victories
Suk-ho has claimed victory on the Japan Golf Tour on eight occasions, as of August 2009. Those wins are: the Juken Sangyo Open Hiroshima in 2002; the Japan PGA Championship and Japan Golf Tour Championship Shishido Hills Cup in 2004; the Japan PGA Championship and JCB Classic Sendai in 2005; the Gateway to the Open Mizuno Open in 2006; and the Tsuruya Open and The Championship by Lexus in 2008.
Major Championships
Suk-ho has played in the British Open Championship and the PGA Championship a total of seven times as of July, 2009. He missed the cut three times, while his best performance was at the British Open in 2006, when he finished in a tie for 11th place.
Personal Bests
On five occasions, Suk-ho has needed just 22 putts during the course of an 18-hole round. During a tournament in 2006, he carded 11 birdies during a single round. That same round, he shot a 61, which is his lowest 18-hole score.
Japan Golf Tour Money Ranking
With the exception of 2001, his first year on the Japan Golf Tour, Suk-ho has been among the leaders on the money list of that tour. He ranked fourth in 2004 and 2005, seventh in 2006 and sixth in 2008.
